Mijas Costa is a 12 kilometre coastline between Fuengirola and Marbella East and continues to be a popular choice because of its excellent value for money properties.  There are several ‘villages’ that have developed over the years each having a good range of facilities and amenities, these include La Cala, Miraflores, Riviera del Sol and Calahonda.
La Cala has the most ‘Spanish’ feel to it as originally it was a small fishing village.  It has a small promenade, lovely beach and a good sized commercial centre providing everything you could need.  There are many good restaurants and bars both traditional and modern, that cater for a variety of tastes
Miraflores, Riviera and Calahonda has a huge range of properties of all types and for all budgets.  These areas are very popular with ex-pats and as such, they cater really well for the foreign population and if you don’t speak Spanish, not a problem, English is widely spoken here.
A new addition to the area is the Calahonda to La Cala coastal walkway which links the areas via a boardwalk which follows the sea and is a wonderful way to explore the coastline.

Mijas Costa is an ideal choice for buyers requiring a value for money property in a popular, well-liked coastal resort which has grown organically to meet the requirements of its diverse population.  Transfer from Malaga airport is an easy journey of around 20 minutes.
